Dr. Frank Piranio is a San Diego native and has been in private practice for over 20 years. He received his chiropractic degree form Parker University in Dallas, TX, along with a bachelor’s degree in Human Anatomy. Prior to that, he attended the University of Wisconsin- River Falls and received a bachelor’s degree in Biology.
He has continued his education in both sports chiropractic and extremity adjusting and has been a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner since 2003 and a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner since 2015. His clinical interests include sports medicine, kinesiology, functional neurology and foot and gait biomechanics.
He is a member of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, The Council on Extremity Adjusting and The American College of Sports Medicine. With these interests, he has treated a wide array of conditions which include, but are not limited to lower back pain, neck pain, headaches, vertigo, pain and weakness in the extremities, altered biomechanics and foot dysfunction.
He is also experienced in treating various sports injuries for his active patient population as well as high school, college and Olympic athletes. Dr. Piranio enjoys reducing dysfunction and improving the quality of life for his patients. He and his wife have two children and live in the San Carlos area.
